Introduction to Harry Potter

I've never read the Harry Potter series.
Yes, they've been published since June 26, 1997. And the first book, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (Philosopher’s Stone if you live in Europe, I actually prefer that title) was a number one worldwide bestseller for years. It’s assigned reading in grade school, every kid was made to read it. And fell in love with it.
Except me. 😂
First off, thank you to a really good friend of mine for encouraging me to delve into the world of Harry Potter. (:

First thoughts: (March 12, 2019)
When the librarian handed the little paperback book to me, my first thought was about how cute tiny paperback editions of books are. It reminded me of the Penguin Minis pocketbook edition of The Fault in Our Stars I saw at Books-A-Million.
(For the record, everything and anything I see that's even the least bit book-ish, or Augustus Waters-ish reminds me of The Fault in Our Stars.)

I almost cried when I picked the tiny version of TFIOS up.
A moment of silence for all fangirls who miss Augustus Waters.
and another moment of silence for every girl who fell in love with Augustus while reading TFIOS.

Back to Harry Potter, the actual subject of this article, before I start sobbing again.
I love the first chapter's title, just absolutely love it. It's always a good sign when you pick up a book, and the weight and feel of it just gives off this fabulous vibe.
And then you open it up to the table of contents, and are immediately attracted to the first chapter's name!
"The Boy Who Lived" rings nicely.

I really, really, really, really believe that I'm going to love J. K. Rowling's style of writing.

Signing off for now to actually go read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (instead of just talking about it),
